In this season of sharing, this is a great opportunity

to make a child’s holiday a little brighter.

"Giving has always been at the heart of who they are. Now the heart is on their name."

Heart of Canal Street is Potawatomi Hotel & Casino's signature community program. Half of each $3 Canal Street Bingo game purchased goes to the Heart of Canal Street fund, which totaled more than $1 million last year and provided funding to children's charities in southeastern WI. Milwaukee County Shop With A Cop is in the running to be a 2015 charity. Help give the gift of a promising future by playing now through December 10. Visit

About eleven years ago, while Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. was visiting his in-laws, he saw the nationally acclaimed “Shop with a Cop” program advertised in a Green Bay newspaper. The program builds positive relationships with young people in the community and Sheriff Clarke immediately wanted to bring it to Milwaukee County.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office reached out to the Milwaukee-area business community and in 2007, the Sheriff’s vision became a reality. Financial and service donations from a variety of businesses will allow children from the Journey House, Boys and Girls Clubs, Neighborhood House of Milwaukee, S.O.S. Learning Center, Lighthouse Youth Center and Dept. of Children's Services join with area law enforcement sheriff's deputies and police officers to enjoy breakfast and a day of holiday shopping together.
